What types of support does NDIS funding cover?
Not all types of support required by a person living with a disability fall under the responsibility of the NDIS.
The NDIS will fund reasonable and necessary supports that help a person living with a disability enjoy an ordinary life.
How do I know if I qualify for high and very high intensity supports?
You are encouraged to discuss with Perth Care Services how the delivery of your support services can be configured to create the most efficient and effective plan tailored to your needs - including the ability to mix and match higher and/or lower skilled workers across your support requirements.
How do I know I’m being charged the right amount?
You should speak with us if you have any concerns about what you are being charged.
The price controls applied by Perth Care Services are subject to audit to ensure staff have the appropriate skills or experience that are reflective of your needs.
NDIS - What does it mean?
The NDIS can provide all people with disability access to essential services.
- National: The NDIS is being introduced progressively across all states and territories.
- Disability: The NDIS provides support to eligible people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disability.
- Insurance: The NDIS gives all Australians peace of mind if they, their child or loved one is born with or acquires a permanent and significant disability, they will get the support they need.
- Scheme: The NDIS is not a welfare system. The NDIS is designed to help people get the support they need so their skills and independence improve over time.
